The World Commission on Dams

The World Commission on Dams is an independent and international commission, established in May 1998, which presented its findings on November 16 2000. Its objectives are to undertake a global review of the development effectiveness of large dams and to develop internationally acceptable criteria and guidelines for future decision-making on dams.
