August 2022 Monthly Bulletin

The hydrological situation from August 1^st to 31^st, 2022 is characterized by the continued rise in the water level in all compartments of the Niger basin, leading to a rapid increase in flows on the main course of the Niger River and its tributaries with a situation flooding in the Bani, upper Niger sub-catchment and parts of the lower Niger.
Due to lack of data, the hydrological situation of the lower Niger was not analyzed.

The filling of the Selingué dam in Mali is in progress.
