Monthly Hydrological Bulletin March 2018

The hydrological situation in the Niger basin during the month of March 2018 was characterized by the ongoing drastic decrease in water level in the entire sub‐basins.
This situation is more critical in the Upper Basin and Inner Delta of Niger (IDN) compare to the previous years with a decrease in flows to ecologically disturbing levels (severe low water levels) thus disrupting the proper functioning of ecosystems.
