The month of June 2020 was characterized by the commencement of rainy season across the entire Niger River basin.

The hydrological flow situation during this month of June was characterized by a low flow situation at the Upper Niger, the Inland Delta and the Lower Niger, but the situation was high at the Middle Niger because of incoming flow from the right bank tributaries.

While the structural dams of Selingué in Mali and Kainji in Nigeria, continues with their discharges to support the downstream flow.
