October 2023 Monthly Bulletin

The hydrological situation in October 2023 was characterized by decreasing flow at the Upper Niger and Lower Niger sub-basins due to the onset of low flow situation. While, there were increasing flow at the Inner Delta and the Middle Niger sub-basins due to the arrival of the Guinean flood.

The filling of the Sélingué water reservoir in Mali and Kainji water reservoir in Nigeria continues and had both reached the normal capacity level.
